Wētā #248 is now available, and it's an exciting opportunity you won't want to miss!

If you've been dreaming of owning a Weta Dinghy, this could be the perfect match for you.

This fantastic package includes a road trailer, a full set of sails with a custom GP Sails jib, a custom-made launching trolley, the original aluminum Weta trolley, twin tillers, and other great extras.

While we haven't had the chance to inspect the boat in person, here are some insights from the photos and general checks we'd recommend when considering a used Weta for sale.

Hulls

Wow, check out those images!

We highly recommend taking a close inspection for any stress marks around the shroud anchor points on the amas. Also, give the boat a once-over for any 'star glazing' or signs of aging gelcoat, along with the usual age-related knocks and bumps that come with regular use.

It's awesome to see that the boat has a complete 'all over cover'! This means it has a lower risk of UV damage while it's parked in the boat park.

It appears the main hull and ama have been fitted with Carbon Bow Protectors also.

Mast

The all-carbon mast has been kept rigged and might display some signs of UV aging, adding character to its robust design!

Be sure to check all fittings and the mast track, as well as the shrouds, mast base plug, and mast head for optimal performance!

Sails

Get ready for an exhilarating ride with a complete set of Weta sails, plus an extra GP Sails jib to boost your adventure!

Don't let the original mono-film sails deceive you — they can still be very quick, and the original jib looks like it's never even touched the water!
